Project-specific confidentiality, security or data-processing terms in an applicable proposal, statement of work, agreement or other signed document supplement this policy and will govern to the extent they impose a more specific requirement.

Information we may handle
Depending on the interaction, this may include a person’s name, professional role, organisation, business email address, telephone number, correspondence, inquiry material, project instructions, documents supplied for assessment, engagement records, invoices, transaction records and information required to administer or deliver agreed work.
Where the production hosting environment creates access or security logs, those records may include an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, referral information, date and time, and request or security status.
How information is obtained
Information may be supplied directly by email or telephone; provided during proposal, contracting, delivery or administration; supplied by an authorised colleague, client or institutional contact; or generated through routine hosting and security operations.
Please do not send confidential, sensitive or personal project material through an initial inquiry unless an appropriate channel and handling arrangement have been agreed.
Why information is handled
Information may be used to assess and respond to inquiries; evaluate, establish and administer engagements; conduct agreed work; deliver and document assets; manage communications, billing and records; secure systems and materials; investigate misuse; comply with applicable obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Information will not be used for a materially unrelated purpose without an appropriate basis and, where required, further notice.
Basis for handling
Depending on the context and applicable law, information may be handled with consent; at a person’s request before entering an engagement; to perform or administer an agreement; to comply with a legal obligation; to protect systems, people or legal rights; or under another permission provided by applicable law.
Current website technology
The authored static implementation does not intentionally include analytics, advertising trackers, account registration, website forms or checkout functionality.
This statement applies only to the reviewed implementation. Before these pages are authorised for indexing, the production deployment on Hostinger must be checked for hosting logs, cookies, response headers, security or caching services, embedded resources and other platform behaviour that may affect information processing.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be made available, only as reasonably necessary, to providers supporting hosting, communications, storage, collaboration, security, professional advice or engagement delivery. Engagement-specific providers may also be identified in the applicable documentation.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, a competent authority or legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect people, systems, property or legal rights. Service providers are expected to handle information for the relevant purpose and under appropriate confidentiality, security or contractual restrictions.
Client material and external AI services
Confidential or personal client material will not intentionally be submitted to an external AI or model provider unless the applicable engagement documentation permits that use and appropriate access, confidentiality, security and data-handling controls have been established.
Any stricter requirement in a signed confidentiality, data-processing or engagement agreement will govern the relevant work.
International processing
Some service providers or engagement participants may process information outside India. Where this occurs, Little Black Journal LLP will apply contractual, technical or other safeguards required by applicable law and the relevant engagement.
Retention
Inquiry information is retained only while the inquiry remains relevant and for necessary follow-up. Engagement information is retained for delivery, agreed handover, contractual administration and applicable recordkeeping. Financial, regulatory and legal records are retained for periods required by applicable obligations or reasonably necessary for legal claims.
Hosting and security logs follow the verified provider configuration and security requirements. Information is deleted, securely disposed of or anonymised when it is no longer required, subject to lawful retention and preservation obligations.
Security
Little Black Journal LLP applies reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the engagement, including purpose limitation, access control, secure handling and incident management. No method of transmission, storage or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Requests and grievances
Where provided by applicable law, a person may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information; to withdraw consent; to object to or restrict particular handling; or to raise a grievance. The availability and scope of each right depend on the applicable law and circumstances.
Requests may be sent to contact@littleblackjournal.in. Sufficient information may be requested to verify identity, authority and the relevant records. Where provided by applicable law, a person may also have the right to approach an applicable supervisory or statutory authority after using the available grievance process.
Children
This corporate website is not directed to children and does not intentionally solicit their personal information. If information relating to a child is believed to have been supplied inappropriately, please contact the LLP so that the circumstances can be assessed.
External links
The website links to external research, publishing, marketplace, technical and profile services. Those destinations operate independently and apply their own privacy terms and technical practices.

Material revisions will be published on this page and identified by an updated date. Earlier handling remains subject to the policy and agreement applicable at the relevant time.
